The Canterbury Jockey Club generously provides private facilities for all Race Days, when requested by the CWROA.

Facilities available include:

Bar – Food - Betting Terminals - TV Screens Excellent viewing

Comfortable seating

Members are provided with a badge which provides access to our private area.

The Association keeps members informed of its activities and on matters affecting the ownership and racing of horses through a regular newsletter and emails when appropriate.

The Association is a major sponsor of the South Island Racing Awards which are held annually at the end of each racing season and when appropriate, other events of racing nature.

The Association administers two Trust Funds which rewards the leading Trainer and Head Apprentice, annually.

There is the opportunity to become a shareholder of a horse in our racing syndicate(s) administered professionally by the CWROA.

We also have other active promotional and social activities enjoyed by many members.

There is an option to receive a subscription concession for dual membership with the CJC in the first year.

 both a local and national level
